About the role

The Clinical Assistant Professor of Physician Assistant Studies will support the innovative Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) program at Carroll University. The program focuses on developing students' competency to serve medically underserved populations and facilitates interprofessional healthcare practice.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, develop, and maintain clinical year rotation sites.
  • Career development and coordination of student placements.
  • Perform site visits to evaluate as part of ongoing assessment.
  • Evaluate and track student performance, progression, and provide remedial instruction when necessary.
  • Auxiliary activities and assessments such as End of Rotation Exams, OSCEs, workshops, and simulations.
  • Didactic teaching dependent on program needs and candidate expertise/interest.
  • Attend faculty program and department committee meetings, participate in service, scholarship, and professional development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Be an NCCPA board certified physician assistant.
  • Hold a terminal degree in physician assistant studies (MSPAS or MPAS).
  • Hold current physician assistant licensure or be eligible for licensure.
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience-primary care experience preferred.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with online student tracking systems and test question data banks is desired.

Qualifications

Pay

This is a clinical faculty track position at the rank of clinical assistant professor.

Schedule
