Primary Duties
- Create the virtual simulation scenarios
- Implement the immersive virtual simulation as part of clinical and for remediation
- Conduct training for faculty on the use of immersive virtual simulation
- Evaluate the simulations as it relates to student learning outcomes
- Provide service, as needed, to the department, college, and university
Required Qualifications
- Hold a master's degree or graduate hours demonstrating significant progress toward the completion of a master's in nursing
- Have 3 more years of clinical nursing experience
- A current unrestricted/unencumbered license to practice registered nursing within the State of Texas
- For advanced practice nurses, meet and have all certification required for their specialty
- Strong desire to work with first-generation students
- The ability to teach in areas that complement or strengthen both undergraduate and graduate nursing programs
