About the role
The Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences, Oklahoma State University (OSU) College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) invites applications for a tenure- or clinical-track faculty position in equine surgery.
If you have a passion for educating the next generation of veterinarians and veterinary specialists, providing exceptional patient care, love contributing to clinical research (welcomed, but not required), and want to work in a collegial and supportive environment, this is the position for you.
Responsibilities
- Mentorship and training of house officers
- Supervision of veterinary students and technical staff in the examination and management of equine surgery patients
- Contribution to clinical research if desired (not a requirement for career-track)
- Participation in extension and outreach efforts of the College, if desired
- Ability to do up to four weeks of consultation work outside our referral area
Requirements
- D.V.M. or equivalent veterinary degree
- Certification by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) is required
- Eligibility for faculty licensure in Oklahoma is required
Qualifications
- Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, including consideration of previous accomplishments towards future promotions
