Responsibilities
A Day in the Life of a Clinical Assistant I:
- Facilitate appropriate patient flow between registration and modalities to ensure proper care is provided in a timely manner.
- Chaperone radiologists as needed.
- Properly set up trays for procedures; assist radiologists or technologists with procedures as required.
- Proficient in the use of RIS/PACS and Penrad/MagView.
- Schedule patients for appropriate follow-up and/or additional exams; obtain appropriate orders.
- Verify and/or input patient information (demographic, insurance, and contact information) into the system 100% of the time.
- Explain and assist patients with completion of forms on an as-needed basis.
- Track and obtain pathology results for data outcomes reporting.
- Scan documents and link to patient medical records on an as-needed basis.
- Proficient in handling calls for general patient questions, e.g., directions, hours of operation, etc.
- Refer questions regarding medical results to a clinical team member 100% of the time.
- Maintain patient confidentiality 100% of the time.
- Adhere to attendance policy.
- Participate in front office training, as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Minimum two years’ experience in healthcare or customer service environment preferred.
- College coursework or Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
