Job Description

The College of Veterinary Medicine’s Department of Comparative, Diagnostic, and Population Medicine at the University of Florida (UF) invites applications for a faculty member to join our Zoological Medicine Service as a full time, clinical track Assistant or Associate Professor of Zoological Medicine.

  • Participate in and support the clinical service and teaching activities of the Zoological Medicine Service in the UF Veterinary Hospitals (UFVH).
  • Develop and participate in collaborative research.
  • Teaching responsibilities will involve didactic and clinical training of professional students, residents, and interns and opportunities also exist for graduate student mentorship and education.
  • The Zoological Medicine Service provides veterinary care for zoological companion animals, native Florida wildlife, and three AZA-accredited zoological facilities: Lubee Bat Conservancy, Santa Fe Community College Teaching Zoo, and St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park.
