Works under the supervision of RNs and LPNs to provide assistive care and communication for patients, team members, professional, and technical staff, and visitors.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Current BLS certification required
Qualifications
- Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications: Basic Life Support
- Education with Equivalent Qualifications: High School Diploma Graduate or Equivalent
- Experience with Equivalent Qualifications: 1 Year job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Patient Care Support or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
- Certified Nursing Assistant
- Certified Medical Assistant
- AAMA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
- Certified Medical Assistant
- ARMA Certified Patient Care Technician
- Certified Emergency Medical Technician
Skills
- Effective communication skills
- Basic patient care skills

Schedule
Full-time on the Evening Night Shift, Mon-Fri, varying days, every other weekend, 12-Hour Shifts.

The Acute Care Unit (ACU) is a 50-bed medical surgical unit that provides care for patients of various ages and diagnoses. Nurses on ACU have the opportunity to develop and refine a wide range of clinical skills, including IV placement, NG tube insertion, CVL care, gastrostomy tube care, and medication administration.
