Clinical Applications Specialist - Physicist (Travelling position)
About the role
Provides clinical applications training to customers, on-site or remotely, to ensure the customer is well prepared to operate Varian Medical System equipment (software and/or hardware) according to a minimum of safe and effective use guidelines with the highest level of satisfaction.
Aid in managing customer clinical expectations. Assist in providing competitive product performance information to headquarters, marketing, or engineering groups. Coordinate or lead customer and/or employee training courses. Conduct large group presentations at seminars, training programs, and trade shows. Provide demo support to local, regional, and national customer trade events. Lead internal product meetings supporting multiple groups within Varian.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Travel required up to 75% of work weeks and occasional weekend travel.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

- Enthusiastic learner who is eager to meet challenges and quickly assimilate new concepts.

- Clinical understanding of the processes in a Radiation Oncology Department.
Qualifications
- Board Certification preferred, but not required.
- Master’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of Radiation Oncology Clinical Experience.
- Masters in Physics or related field.
- Meets all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to gain VMS client site access, unless prohibited by law.

Pay
The base pay for this position is $125,340 - $172,348. Factors such as geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate may affect starting pay within this range.
Schedule
Full-time position with up to 75% travel required.
