Job Summary
Seeking a Triage Nurse who manages one or more clinical and administrative functions related to the operations and quality of the clinic or practice. Serves in a leadership role within the practice. Typically functions within a Level 4 or Level 5 Practice.
What You Will Do
- Support providers by gathering, collecting and clarifying information from patients, family members, or nursing facility staff and accurately communicating to the provider.
- Assess patient condition and follow provider approved protocols and make disposition or escalation decisions efficiently and accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, including doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Document patient interactions, assessments, and recommendations in electronic medical records systems.
- Monitor and reassess patients as necessary, ensuring appropriate follow-up care and referrals.
- Stay up to date with current medical practices, guidelines, and regulations to provide the highest standard of care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse School of Nursing required.
- A minimum of one-year previous nursing experience in a clinical or hospital setting required.
- Triage or Emergency Department Experience Preferred.
Education & Certification
- Current and unrestricted Register Nurse license in the respective jurisdiction per state guidelines required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
