Job Summary
This is a full-time 36-hour/week position for Maternal Fetal Medicine, with no on-call duties, holidays, or weekends. As our Sonographer, you will utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care.
Responsibilities
- Achieves patient assessments and abilities to participate in ordered procedures.
- Provides a clear explanation of the procedure including duration, process, and what to expect following completion.
- Provides patient education as appropriate.
- Obtains patient consent for care and ensures patient confidentiality.
- Selects proper equipment, sets correct technical factors, procedure protocols, and gathers proper supplies prior to performance of the procedure.
- Obtains clear and complete history from the patient and/or patient record and records that data into patient record to assist in image interpretation and future patient encounters.
- Performs quality assessment of images obtained and evaluates equipment issues and escalates concerns as indicated.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, upon hire.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, within 6 - months or
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer OB/GYN, within 6 - months or
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
Preferred
- Six to nine months ultrasound experience
Qualifications
- Excellent patient service and communication skills.
- Sharp eyesight and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong technical proficiency, sound judgment, and advanced decision-making skills.

Pay and Schedule
The posted compensation range of $30.76 - $45.76 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
