Job Summary

The Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care in a clinic setting, utilizing the nursing process. They collaborate with the healthcare team to meet the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Prepares equipment and aids physicians during treatment, examinations, and testing of patients.
• Records patients' weight, blood pressure, pulse, height, and other vital signs.
• Instructs patients and/or family members on medication and treatment.
• Authorizes drug refills as directed by physicians or standing orders.
• Administers prescribed medication and treatments according to nursing standards.
• Observes, records, and reports patients' condition and/or response to treatments to physicians.
• Aids in the delegation of duties to non-licensed personnel and supervises their work.
• Aids in the booking of appointments and prioritizes patients in urgent situations.
• Gives patients telephone advice based on nursing judgment within the scope of license.
• Triage patients to the appropriate care setting if needed.
• Arranges for patient testing and admissions.
• Maintains exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials, ensuring cleanliness.
• Prepares lists of medical supplies needed.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives.
• Accepts accountability for own actions.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Montana.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to treat all information as confidential.

Additional Desirable Qualifications

• Six (6) months experience as a Registered Nurse.
• ACLS certification.
• Detail-oriented.
• Positive attitude and flexibility during routine workday.
• Willingness to cover for other providers as necessary.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Well-groomed, tactful, patient, pleasant, and customer-focused.
• Willingness to assist and mentor others.
