Job Summary
As a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a central figure in our patient care team, delivering exceptional, compassionate care that truly makes a difference in our patients' lives.
Responsibilities
- Delivers professional nursing care to clinic patients; performs diagnostic testing and related clinical procedures to appropriate level of training/scope of licensure and established procedures.
- Independently triages nursing situations in accordance with standing orders/protocols; addresses more complex, urgent or emergent situations escalated from other clinic staff.
- Performs a variety of patient assessment/care tests (e.g. EKG, Spirometry, vision/hearing screening, peak flow, color blindness, etc.) in accordance with established protocols.
- Makes independent wound assessments and performs complex wound care and dressing changes, including placement or changing of wound vac); removes sutures or staples after wound assessment by a Provider.
- Inserts and/or removes tubes, drains, urinary catheters, including removal of peripherally-inserted central catheter (PICC); applies splints/braces.
- Instructs patients in the collection of samples and other tests; ensures that patient or family understands follow-up and referral information.
- Informs patients of lab results, calls in prescriptions to pharmacies and returns practitioners’ phone messages.
Required Job Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, upon hire
- Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
Preferred
- One year RN work experience in a clinic setting OR two years of acute care RN work experience
