About the Role

Provides direct patient care in a 24/7 Cancer Care Clinic, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation, primarily for oncology patients receiving treatments such as chemotherapy, blood products, and IV hydration.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participate in activities to ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, along with professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across care settings.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, spiritual, and population-specific factors.
• Support hospital admissions for eligible patients and manage urgent care needs within the clinic.

Requirements

• Nursing Diploma or ADN required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Valid RN license.
• No prior experience required; less than 2 years preferred.
• Must work in a safety-sensitive environment, demonstrating alertness and safe practices.
