Role Overview This role involves providing direct patient care in a 24/7 Cancer Care Clinic, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. The position supports outpatient treatments such as chemotherapy, blood products, IV hydration, and port care, and includes symptom management by Nurse Practitioners. The role encompasses developing and documenting individualized care plans, promoting patient and family-centered care, educating on disease management and post-treatment needs, and ensuring safety and quality compliance. The nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, assesses patients’ physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, and addresses cultural and personal preferences. This position requires alertness and safety awareness, with responsibilities extending to patient admission initiation when necessary.
