Role Overview This position involves providing direct patient care in a 24/7 Cancer Care Clinic, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. The role supports outpatient treatments such as chemotherapy, blood products, IV hydration, port care, and phlebotomy, with staffing by nurses and patient care technicians. Nurse Practitioners see patients for symptom management and urgent needs, alongside initiating care for hospitalized patients meeting specific criteria. Responsibilities Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment care.Participate in ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and engage in professional development.Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across care settings.Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, spiritual, and individual factors.Maintain safety awareness, working in a constant state of alertness as this is a safety-sensitive role. Qualifications Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree (RN license required)Experience: No prior experience required; preferred candidates have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
