At Children’s, we put YOU first so together, we can improve the life of every child!" We need to remove boilerplate: "Children's is committed to diversity and inclusion. We are an equal opportunity employer including veterans and people with disabilities." Also maybe "Children’s is the very best for kids and the very best for your career! At Children’s, we put YOU first so together, we can improve the life of every child!" That's also promotional but maybe not boilerplate? It's part of description but could be considered fluff. However we need to preserve ALL substantive information; not remove promotional unless it's boilerplate. The instruction: "Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions." So we can remove EEO line. The promotional lines maybe not boilerplate; but they are somewhat generic. However they are part of the description; we might keep them as part of "About the role" or similar. We need sections: About the role (intro), Responsibilities (essential functions), Requirements (education, experience, licenses/certs), Qualifications maybe overlapping; Skills maybe not explicit; Benefits maybe not present; Pay not present; Schedule present: "Job Description Schedule: 16 hours per week - Flexible days (Mon/Tues/Wed)". So we need a Schedule section. We must not create sections with filler like "not specified". So only include sections where we have content. Thus we will have:

About the role

with paragraph(s) describing the organization and mission.

Responsibilities

with
  • list of essential functions.

    Requirements

with education, experience, licenses/certs. Maybe also

    Qualifications

but we can combine education/experience/licenses into Requirements. The instruction says use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we can choose which to include. We have schedule, responsibilities, requirements (education, experience, licenses). Could also have Qualifications but it's similar. Might be redundant. Better to have Requirements covering education, experience, licenses/certs. Could also have Qualifications for preferred qualifications (pediatric experience, EPIC). But we can incorporate those under Requirements as "Preferred qualifications". However we need to avoid thin sections. Let's make: - About the role (intro) - Responsibilities (essential functions) - Requirements (education, experience, licenses/certs, preferred qualifications) - Schedule We should not include Benefits, Pay, Skills if not present. Now we need to extract content. About the role: The first sentences after "Job Description Schedule:"? Actually the schedule line is separate. The intro: "At Children’s, the region’s only full-service pediatric healthcare center, our people make us the very best for kids. Come cultivate your passion, purpose and professional development in an environment of excellence and inclusion, where team members are supported and deeply valued. Opportunities for career growth abound as we grow our services and spaces, including the cutting-edge Hubbard Center for Children. Join our highly engaged, caring team—and join us in providing brighter, healthier tomorrows for the children we serve." Also maybe the later promotional lines: "Children’s is the very best for kids and the very best for your career! At Children’s, we put YOU first so together, we can improve the life of every child!" Could include but might be considered fluff. I'd include them as part of About the role. Thus About the role paragraph(s) combine those. Responsibilities: list of essential functions. We need to convert each sentence into bullet points. Must preserve all substantive info; not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to list each distinct duty. Let's parse essential functions section: "Conducts holistic age-specific patient/family assessments upon visit according to defined standards. Ongoing patient/family Assessments/reassessments are completed according to the appropriate CPG or protocols and unit standard of care. Collects and documents data related to patient’s physical, mental, developmental, emotional and social condition. Communicates plan of care to the patient/family so they can understand. Able to identify/assess the need for MD involvement or a potential change in plan of care. Completes with expertise, timely, organized and with detail. Communicates effectively through written documentation or verbally to appropriate individuals. Coordinates patient care to ensure continuity of care. Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job. Perform physical requirements as described in the Physical Requirements section" We need to turn each into bullet. Some sentences are long; we can keep as is. We should avoid duplication: there is repeated line about ongoing assessments; we have two similar lines. Might keep both but could be considered duplicated. The instruction: remove duplicated lines. So we should deduplicate. Let's identify duplicates: - "Ongoing patient/family Assessments/reassessments are completed according to the appropriate CPG or protocols and unit standard of care." - Later: "Ongoing patient/family assessments are completed according to the appropriate CPG, protocol and unit standard of care." Slight variation but essentially same. We'll keep one. Also "Documentation and evaluation of nursing actions Chart audits conducted meets JCAHO and organizational expectations. Must meet overall goal of 95% (FER, Clinic problem list, signatures, pain assessment etc)" is unique. Now Responsibilities bullets. Requirements: Education Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school of nursing Required or Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing Required. So we can phrase: "Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school of nursing (required) or Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing (required)". Actually both are required? It says Required or Required meaning either is acceptable. So we can state: "Bachelor's or Associate's
