Clinic Registered Nurse

About the role

The Registered Professional Nurse at Cabell Huntington Hospital's Psychiatry Mind Wellness Center is accountable for using the nursing process, delegating patient care tasks, supervising other patient care staff, coordinating the care for a group of patients, and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Delegates patient care tasks to other patient care staff
• Supervises other patient care staff in providing care to assigned patients
• Carefully coordinates the care of a group of patients
• Consults with other members of the health care team as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
• Current West Virginia RN license
• Current BLS certification

Qualifications

• Experience in psychiatric nursing preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
