The Clinic Patient Access Supervisor evaluates the department for effective and efficient utilization of staff and resources while ensuring all productivity, access to care, registration quality, patient experience, phone, and point of service collection metrics are at or exceeding goal. The position is responsible for broadening knowledge, promoting the growth of staff, and improving quality. Working closely with Clinic Leadership, Patient Access Director, and Revenue Cycle Leadership to achieve these goals. When required, staffs to cover all positions and shifts. This position reports to the Patient Access Manager. Education/Training/Experience REQUIRED: Associate's degree with emphasis in Health Care or related field or minimum of 1 year experience in Patient Access, Pre Arrival Services, Clinic Reception, or related field in a clinic, hospital, or ambulatory settingExtensive knowledge of registration, scheduling, and point of service collectionsComputer literacy required, including the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, and other Office productsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent customer services skills, ability to problem-solve independently, and perform basic mathematical calculationsPositive interpersonal relationship skills required.Complete Medical Terminology Course within one year of hire.The ability to maintain confidentiality is a requirement. Must be able to work hours and days as needed based on departmental/system demands and recognize the possibility of being on call.
