Primary Job Responsibilities
- Prepares patients for examination and or treatments
- Rooms patients, collects patient history/takes vitals
- Performs Phlebotomy draws and work with DLO program
- Administers injections/assist with office based procedures
- Dispenses in-house pharmacy medications
- Accurate charting and documentation in EMR
- Creates referrals and pre-authorizations
- Works with Vaxcare and follows vaccination policy
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited licensed Nursing Program or Medical Assisting program
- Certifications: Current BLS Certification, or willing to renew
- Experience: 2+ years working as an MA or LPN/RN in a clinic setting is strongly preferred. Pharmacy experience or Lab experience is encouraged
Physical Demands
- This position is primarily sedentary but does allow some standing and moving throughout the day
- Light lifting, up to 20 lbs
- Some twisting, turning, reaching, stooping or kneeling
- Working in medical clinics with some travel between locations
