Shift: Day
Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly

Responsibilities

• Provide information for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease by conducting medical laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses with little or no supervision
• Prepare samples for examination using automated equipment and specialized instrumentation
• Perform numerous complicated tests simultaneously and accurately
• Interpret test results in a timely manner to enable physicians to utilize the data when making treatment decisions
• Present gathered data orally or in writing to management or regulatory agencies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Technology, or a Bachelor’s degree with a certificate in Medical Technology from a nationally accredited program
• National Registry for Medical Technology (ASCP) or equivalent certification, or registry-eligible (must successfully complete or be actively pursuing registration by the end of the first year of employment, as evidenced by notification of a scheduled test date)
• Language, math, and reasoning skills sufficient to analyze, interpret, and draw valid conclusions during data collection and mechanical or scientific procedures
