Clinic Medical Assistant-BH Surgical Clinic Central Ark

About the role

The Medical Assistant assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. The Medical Assistant will conduct patient intake, take vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and complete patient health history in the electronic medical record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient intake
• Take vital signs
• Complete patient health history in the electronic medical record
• May be required to draw and collect blood samples for patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
• Must be friendly, professional, and able to keep a fast pace during clinic hours

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a medical assistant program preferred
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anatomy
• Proficient in medical terminology

Skills

• Good decision making skills
• Able to multi-task
