Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Authorized hours: 80.00 hours bi-weekly
About the Role
The Medical Assistant assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. The Medical Assistant will conduct patient intake, take vital signs (e.g., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and complete patient health history in the electronic medical record. This role may also draw and collect blood samples for patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, which may involve exposure to bodily fluids during patient care.

- Maintain a fast pace during clinic hours while remaining friendly and professional
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a medical assistant program preferred
- Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of anatomy
- Good decision-making skills and ability to multi-task
Qualifications
- American Heart Association BLS certification
Physical Working Conditions
- May be exposed to a variety of healthcare settings, including clinical, office, or maintenance environments
