About the role
The Alfred Brain Program within the operations division comprises 6 clinical units including Neurology, Neurosurgery, Stroke, Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis Neuroimmunology (MSNI), and Monash Alfred Psychiatry Research Centre (MAPrc). The program provides inpatient (Neurosurgery & Epilepsy 6E, Stroke & Neurology 2F), outpatient, and diagnostic services (Neurophysiology and Otoneurology/Audiology).
We are seeking a clinically experienced and patient-focused Clinic Coordinator - Nurse to support the delivery of care in our Alfred Brain Outpatient Specialist Clinics. This role plays a key part in ensuring patients receive timely, coordinated, and high-quality care throughout their outpatient journey. Working closely with Unit Heads, clinic nurses, and administrative staff, the Clinic Coordinator - Nurse supports clinical processes including triage, patient preparation, and care coordination. A critical aspect of the role involves managing clinic schedules and waitlists to meet performance targets, contributing to service improvement initiatives, and ensuring patients are well-informed and supported throughout their experience.
This role is ideal for a nurse with strong clinical insight into neurological, neurosurgical, and stroke care, excellent coordination skills, and a commitment to enhancing patient outcomes in a collaborative outpatient setting.
Requirements
- Registered as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
- Relevant neurology, stroke, or neurosurgery experience is desirable
- Recent acute clinical or ambulatory care nursing background in a relevant health service
- Current and satisfactory Police Check
- Current and satisfactory Working with Children Check
