Responsibilities

• Perform/record vital signs
• CPR
• Apply oxygen delivering systems
• Perform simple wound irrigation/direct pressure/dressings
• Prepare sterile field for suturing
• Auxiliary with provider treatments when appropriate
• Apply restraints
• Clean medical equipment and prepare for sterilization
• Collect urine specimens
• Phlebotomy
• Assists in making observations, gathering data, and identifying patient care needs
• Assists with patient transports and transfers
• Answer telephones, filing, greet patients/visitors, transcribe provider’s orders, electronic data entry, and assist with documentation
• Assists with cleaning, stocking, and maintenance of department equipment and supplies
• Promotes safe work habits, compliance with safety rules and regulations, and adherence to safety policies

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant: North Dakota, upon hire
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
