Clinic Care Coordinator

About the role

Cottage Medical Group seeks a Clinic Care Coordinator for their Specialty Clinic in Goleta.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors at the clinic and manage administrative tasks for the medical team.
• Receive phone calls, schedule patient appointments according to physician's availability, explain intake forms and consent forms to new patients, and process payments.
• Perform patient registration, check-in and check-out.
• Transcribe patient referrals into the EMR system and index accompanying paperwork.
• Navigate patients through the referral process and manage all related tasks for the clinic care team including, initiating the referral process and evaluating requirements for each referral, obtaining authorizations when applicable, partnering with the Navigation Center or internal and external clinics to ensure continuity of care, and maintaining the various work queues.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Six months clerical experience.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) required for Peds OP Clinic.
• Preferred: 1 year clerical experience in a medical environment performing referrals and authorizations.

Pay

Pay for non-physician positions is determined based on related years of experience and internal equity.

Schedule

Eligible employees may also receive additional forms of compensation, including shift differentials, on-call pay, incentive pay, and bonus opportunities, where applicable.
