Clinic Assistant/Physical Therapy Aide (New Montrose location)

About the role

The Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy is seeking a 12-month fixed-term Clinic Assistant/Physical Therapy Aide to enhance the patient experience at the USC Physical Therapy-Montrose clinic.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments, answer general questions, obtain authorizations and pre-authorizations for patient care services.
• Schedule appointments with ancillary departments or other care providers as needed.
• Maintains master calendar for providers.
• Ensures patient charts are prepared prior to appointments.
• Sets up exam rooms, assists clinicians with exams as needed, monitors patient flow.
• Affords assistance to providers, as requested, by preparing the physical environment, performing non-patient related tasks, and patient-related tasks as assigned or requested by the provider.
• Maintains files and records, oversees equipment and office supply inventory.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent education.
• One year combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience.
• Medical office management and medical secretarial experience.
