Clinic Assistant / Orderly

About the role
Provides direct patient care by assisting patients and clinic staff with a variety of functions. This position will have a high focus on Central Sterile Processing and OR support and will assist in Pre-Op and PACU as needed, maintaining a clean and orderly patient care environment and assisting nursing staff with appropriate patient care support. Will assist with preparing patient charts, reviewing and communicating schedule changes, scanning, and directing inbound calls. Consistently demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations.
Schedule
Monday–Friday. No nights, no weekends, no holidays, and no call required.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients and clinic staff with various functions
- Focus on Central Sterile Processing and OR support
- Assist in Pre-Op and PACU as needed
- Maintain a clean and orderly patient care environment
- Support nursing staff with patient care
- Prepare patient charts
- Review and communicate schedule changes
- Scan documents and direct inbound calls
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience in any patient care role preferred
- Experience cleaning and sterilizing equipment and work areas in a medical environment preferred
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
- Ability to adapt to change quickly
- Effective communication and critical thinking skills
