• Responsible for performing patient evaluations, consults, and review of pretreatment for standard of care patients as well clinical research patients
• Educating patients on therapeutic options through available liver clinical trials onsite
• Performs specialized procedure(s) and works with MD on patient diagnosis
• Counseling patients and their families, as well as collaborating with appropriate physicians to provide other appropriate direct care interventions within the scope of practice for physician's assistants or nurse practitioners
• Primary point of contact and assumes responsibilities for managing the care for patients
