Clin Tech

Responsibilities

1. Counsels patients and families on health maintenance, nutrition, and hygiene.
2. Collects data on weight, temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure measurements, including orthostatic parameters as appropriate.
3. Performs non-sterile treatments such as applying cold compresses.
4. Performs specimen collection and procedures, including phlebotomy (depending upon area of assignment).
5. Uses effective interpersonal skills in all interactions, demonstrating respect for others.
6. Maintains active involvement in educational activities related to the role, attending all mandatory inservices.
7. Performs other responsibilities as requested by the Patient Care Manager, being flexible with time as assignments change to meet unit needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of CNA certification or one clinical nursing school rotation and enrollment in a nursing program.
• One (1) year of patient care experience (EKG, Phlebotomy, Nurse Aide, Nurse Technician) preferred.
