About the Role

Provides professional nursing care within an assigned Critical Care unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Correlates patient history and support systems within hospital care.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family.
• Develops and initiates teaching plan, involving patient and family.
• Recommends interventions.
• Evaluates plan of care.
• Resolves problems regarding less complex issues without oversight or supervision.
• Member of established active hospital committee or subcommittee with 75% participation in meetings.
• Demonstrates willingness to precept new employees/students as directed.
• Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Completes required education assignments annually.
• Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
• Minimum Experience: Must possess at least one (1) year of professional experience. Two (2) years experience is preferred.
• Valid Tennessee nursing license.
• CPR certification required.

Schedule

Full Time, 72 hours per pay period, Night Shift.
