CLIN LAB SCIENTIST II

Responsibilities

• Receives and processes patient specimens, verifies specimen integrity, and assists in specimen oversight.
• Performs laboratory testing, calibrates equipment, and maintains documentation.
• Ensures quality control, troubleshoots issues, and reports results accurately and timely.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area, adheres to safety protocols, and communicates effectively.
• Communicates with patients, staff, and external customers, and supports team efforts.
• Reviews logs, identifies non-conformities, and suggests improvements.
• Performs additional duties as assigned, including phlebotomy and assisting in research and development.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related science.
• Preferred Education: Completion of a one-year Clinical Laboratory Scientist training program approved by the California Department of Public Health.
• Experience: Four (4) years’ experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in a Clinical Lab setting.
• Certification/License: Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License.
