About the role

The Somerset Hills YMCA is seeking a Climbing Wall Belayer at its Basking Ridge, NJ location. This position involves teaching the fundamentals of climbing to youth participants, ensuring their safety, and fostering a positive environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a positive member experience by interacting with participants in a fair and professional manner.
• Set up and breakdown of equipment before and after the rock wall opens.
• Arrives on time and is prepared for participants at the start of each session.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least 1 year experience belaying OR willing to be trained.
• Must be dependable, great with kids, and enjoy sports!
• Must demonstrate YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
