Climbing Wall Attendant (Per Diem) - Northwest Cary Wellness Center

Responsibilities

• Attends all staff and area meetings.
• Completes all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
• Represents the facility while on duty.
• Daily customer contact and interaction while resolving customer satisfaction issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain professional standards among clients.
• Demonstrate proficiency in climbing techniques, including harness use and fitting, belaying, tying in, spotting and use of climbing equipment.
• Enforces climbing wall policies, procedures and safety standards.
• Ensures climbing wall areas are maintained in a safe, clean, presentable manner.
• Ensure all participants have a current Release and Waiver form on file.
• Provides instruction during class programs including Orientation, Bouldering, Top Rope, Auto Belay and Rappel.
• Provides instructions in climbing techniques and proper use of equipment.
• Administers all tests, including Bouldering, Top Rope and Belay.

Requirements

• Previous indoor climbing experience preferred.

Qualifications

Education Requirements: None required as long as all other position qualifications are met.

Licensure/Certification Requirements: First Aid certificate within one (1) year from date of hire. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification within one (1) year from date of hire.

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: Previous indoor climbing experience preferred.
