About the role
The Climate Pollution Reduction Program (CPRP) is seeking two Climate Pollution Reduction Communications Consultants (Communications Consultant 4) to join our team. These roles are based at our Headquarters Building in Lacey, WA. Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement multichannel communication strategies across various projects
- Create compelling and effective content for both niche and broad audiences
- Craft messaging and shape strategic communications plans
- Manage media and public relations activities
- Coordinate communications with other state and local agencies and elected officials
Requirements
Passion for preserving the natural environment and climate policy, a knack for writing, and a strong understanding of climate policy are essential. Experience in communications, public relations, or a related field is preferred.
Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and proficiency in project management are required. Familiarity with climate policy and environmental issues is beneficial.
Skills
Excellent writing and editing skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and experience with digital and traditional media are desirable.
Benefits
The position offers a competitive salary range of $59,616.00 - $80,112.00 annually, along with benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Schedule
This position is eligible for up to an 80% tele-work schedule (Tuesdays in the office).
