Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports the execution of onsite nursery management on a daily basis.
- Gathers, develops, and distributes relevant educational materials via multiple avenues, including but not limited to electronic distribution, in-person facilitation, and hard copy documents.
- Affords assistance in the ongoing and regular maintenance of the KEY Project Māla through gardening and landscaping methods.
- Organizes and attends occasional weekend workdays and workshops as assigned.
- Mets regularly with Climate Champion Supervisor to identify and prioritize relevant assignments, duties, and tasks.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of sustainable agriculture practices and techniques.
- Minimum one (1) year experience working with youth.
- Comfort with outdoor spaces and work environments.
- Capability to perform ongoing physical labor.
- Ability to maintain tools and equipment with confidence to perform minor repairs as needed.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
Preferred Qualifications
- General office skills.
- General cultural knowledge of Koʻolauloa moku.
Physical Requirements
- The position requires the ability to walk, move, squat, stand in a variety of positions and locations throughout the campus.
- The ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
- The ability to maintain spatial awareness of surroundings.
