Client Tax Accountant

About the role

Fisher Investments is expanding its Private Client Group (PCG) Tax consultation team and seeks Client Tax Accountants to deliver comprehensive white‑glove tax service to high‑net‑worth clients, working closely with Investment Counselors and the Financial Planning Services group.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with High Net Worth (HNW) clients on end‑to‑end tax needs.
• Prepare federal, state, and local individual income tax returns and related filings, including Forms 1040, using information from Forms W‑2, 1099’s, K‑1’s, and other tax reporting documents.
• Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings.
• Meet with HNW clients to complete intake, advise on tax strategies and holistic tax planning, and provide tax advice within approved frameworks.
• Identify and create tax strategies to minimize taxation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local tax regulations.
• Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work.
• Stay updated with tax changes and industry trends through educational opportunities, professional organizations, networks, and professional publications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 4+ years of direct tax experience.
• Certified Public Accountant, Enrolled Agent, or equivalent designation required.
• Strong client‑facing presence.
• Ability to adapt to changes in a fast‑paced, team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
• Familiarity with tax preparation software; CCH Axcess strongly preferred.
