Client Services Representative - Pool - FQHC Residency Clinic - Atlantic City

About the role

The Client Services Representative provides office support at the front desk within the Hospital, Ambulatory, or other settings. This role ensures the timely and organized scheduling of patient appointments, manages patient insurance information, enters client information into the computer, and provides accurate financial information to clients. The position supports organizational goals by delivering quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts, and demonstrating teamwork and cooperation.

Potential for exposure to the hazards and risks of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury. Periodic travel to other department locations is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide front desk office support in a hospital, ambulatory, or clinical setting.
• Schedule patient appointments in a timely and organized manner.
• Manage and verify patient insurance information.
• Enter and maintain accurate client information in computer systems.
• Provide financial information to clients as needed.
• Demonstrate quality customer service and participate in performance improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with team members to support organizational goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of office experience, preferably in a medical setting.
• Minimum 1 year of insurance, CPT-4, and ICD-10 coding experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; training will be provided, and proficiency will be required within 30-60 days of hire.
