Client Services Representative
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our dedicated team at VCA Bakersfield Animal Hospital. Our mission is to prioritize your pet's health and provide exceptional service, exceeding each client's expectations.
Responsibilities
- Greeting visitors and answering telephones
- Guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
- Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
- Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
- Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care
- Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
- Ensuring the facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside
- Performing hospital maintenance (removal of animal waste)
Requirements
A minimum of 1 year of veterinary experience is required.
Qualifications
Personable yet highly professional demeanor is essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously are crucial.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are necessary.

Pay
$17.00/hour
Schedule
Shift differential for hours worked between 6p-6a. Shifts available: Swings, Evenings, Weekends, Every other holiday
