Client Services Representative

About the role

North Shore Animal League America’s Pet Health Centers are seeking talented individuals to join our dedicated team. We are committed to providing a higher quality of life for dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens through our mission.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to current and potential clients through various channels including telephone, email, and virtual Televet platform.
• Work as part of a team to prioritize the needs of our clients and patients.
• Assess emergency calls and walk-ins and direct them appropriately.
• Create appointments, explain procedures, and provide accurate fees and information for routine services.
• Check in each patient for designated procedures/examinations.
• Present hospital policies and invoices to clients.
• Check out each client with the ability to process all payment types.
• Create client/patient medical records.
• Copy, fax, and email medical records upon request.
• Process Care Credit and Scratchpay applications and payments.
• Data entry including vaccination records, importing medical records, updating client information, etc.
• Maintain front desk and waiting rooms of the Pet Health Centers to ensure they are stocked, organized, and presentable at all times.
• Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Preferred 2+ years of customer service experience in a medical or veterinary facility.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be computer savvy.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-paced, high-volume, and demanding work environment.
• Maintain confidentiality to sensitive client information.
• Desire to make a positive difference in the lives of animals and their owners.

Pay

• Client Services Representative: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour
• Licensed & Licensed Eligible Veterinary Technicians: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour
• Veterinary Assistants: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour

Schedule

• Client Services Representative: 5 days a week including 1 weekend shift.
• Licensed & Licensed Eligible Veterinary Technicians: Full-time, part-time, and per diem shifts available.
• Veterinary Assistants: 40 hours/5 days a week including a weekend shift.
