Client Services Representative

Job Responsibilities

• Greet clients and determine their needs
• Complete check-in and check-out processes
• Model professional and courteous behavior with staff and clients
• Schedule clients for treatment and vaccinations
• Help with client reminders for health assessments and other services
• Pull patient charts and update information
• Aid technicians in filling prescriptions and providing instructions
• Perform over-the-counter sales of hospital merchandise
• Demonstrate technical knowledge of products and assist clients
• Invoice clients, collect fees, and manage credit charges
• Show basic emergency procedures and provide information
• Advise hospital staff about incoming emergencies
• Maintain waiting room and reception area cleanliness
• Prepare and send correspondence and informational materials
• Use PIMS procedures and functional applications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Prior client service experience in related area preferred but not required
• Basic veterinary medical knowledge, including products and services
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, e-mail, and practice management software experience preferred)
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and attend to details
