About the role

As a Client Services Associate (part-time), you’ll have the opportunity to build professional relationships and provide an exceptional client experience. You will use your knowledge and skills to help clients meet their financial goals through daily transactions and quality referrals to other departments within the bank.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt and accurate teller transactions in accordance with the Bank’s policies and procedures.
  • Balance currency, coin, and teller drawer at the end of each shift.
  • Open new accounts per Bank and regulatory requirements, perform account/file maintenance, and handle other personal banker duties.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and identify cross-sell opportunities with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Stand to welcome customers, use the customer’s name, take responsibility for the customer, thank the customer by name, and exceed customer expectations.
  • Maintain appropriate cash levels in teller drawer in accordance with security policy and comply with the Teller Over and Short Procedure.
  • Perform all customer teller transactions (e.g., cashing checks, receiving cash for deposit, verifying amounts and customer balances, examining checks for signatures and endorsements) and input them into the computer system.
  • Process savings bonds, branch capture, cashier’s checks, and other items based on branch needs.
  • Open new accounts, prepare and compile new customer information in accordance with the Bank’s CIP and Know Your Customer policies, ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation, scan into the system, and follow up on missing or incomplete documents.
  • Complete account/file maintenance with proper documentation.
  • Assist customers with stop payments, debit card orders/reorders, debit card disputes, IRAs, health savings accounts, wire transfers, Directo-a-Mexico, online banking, and mobile banking.
  • Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds in accordance with regulations.
  • Allow customers access to safe deposit boxes following specified procedures.
  • Assist tellers with balancing daily transactions and may assist in balancing the vault.
  • Recognize, respond to, or refer sales opportunities (accounts, credit cards, loans, etc.) and make quality referrals to other areas of the bank and bank partners (commercial and consumer lending, treasury management, etc.).
  • Take initiative to answer customer phone calls/emails, take ownership of issues, resolve them, and provide timely feedback.
  • Promptly respond to customer inquiries and requests regarding accounts, suggest resolutions for disputes or other account activity.
  • Work professionally with the retail banking department and other internal departments to generate goodwill.
  • Protect and safeguard customer information and bank property.
  • Adhere to all bank and regulatory requirements and participate in required training.
  • Actively participate in local community and bank-sponsored events.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Six to twelve months of bank teller experience preferred.
  • Customer service, sales, or cross-selling experience desired.

Pay

Hourly: $16.54 - $22.67
