About the role

The Client Service Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining customer files and providing administrative support to the client servicing team. They act as a primary point of contact and internal backup for Account Managers and other service team members.

Responsibilities

  • Provides ongoing administrative support and coordinates with Account Managers and other service team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of client deliverables.
  • Serves as the secondary contact and internal backup for Account Managers.
  • Serves as a liaison between clients and insurance company representatives as needed.
  • Creates client reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, using Relation templates and software.
  • Assists clients in developing and refining wellness programs, coordinating health fair vendor participation.
  • Aids in the preparation and assembly of proposals and marketing materials.
  • Supports the development of all marketing, communication, and presentation materials, including employee benefits guides and enrollment processes.
  • Maintains carrier files with all updated contracts and correspondence.
  • Supports the research and preparation of communication materials related to government and legal compliance issues.
  • Adopts and utilizes innovative technology, including proprietary AI solutions, to enhance the client service experience.
  • Performs other projects, duties, and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Life, Health and Accident License from the state of domicile within 90 days of hire and must be maintained thereafter.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required, depending on location.
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in Customer Service.
  • Prior experience with agency management systems software and online rating systems preferred.
  • Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (with emphasis on Excel).
  • Must be computer literate and able to learn new software.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills required to maintain effective relationships with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors, and others.
  • Ability to understand and interpret written and oral communications within policies.
  • Ability to work independently with limited daily supervision and to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to function effectively under tight time constraints, meet strict deadlines, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities in a demanding work environment.

Qualifications

  • Life, Health and Accident insurance experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of insurance markets, products, services, insurance ratings, and underwriting procedures preferred.
  • Computer literacy with the ability to learn new software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
