About the role
The Client Service Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining customer files and providing administrative support to the client servicing team. They act as a primary point of contact and internal backup for Account Managers and other service team members.
Responsibilities
- Provides ongoing administrative support and coordinates with Account Managers and other service team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of client deliverables.
- Serves as the secondary contact and internal backup for Account Managers.
- Serves as a liaison between clients and insurance company representatives as needed.
- Creates client reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, using Relation templates and software.
- Assists clients in developing and refining wellness programs, coordinating health fair vendor participation.
- Aids in the preparation and assembly of proposals and marketing materials.
- Supports the development of all marketing, communication, and presentation materials, including employee benefits guides and enrollment processes.
- Maintains carrier files with all updated contracts and correspondence.
- Supports the research and preparation of communication materials related to government and legal compliance issues.
- Adopts and utilizes innovative technology, including proprietary AI solutions, to enhance the client service experience.
- Performs other projects, duties, and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- A Life, Health and Accident License from the state of domicile within 90 days of hire and must be maintained thereafter.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required, depending on location.
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in Customer Service.
- Prior experience with agency management systems software and online rating systems preferred.
- Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (with emphasis on Excel).
- Must be computer literate and able to learn new software.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills required to maintain effective relationships with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors, and others.
- Ability to understand and interpret written and oral communications within policies.
- Ability to work independently with limited daily supervision and to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to function effectively under tight time constraints, meet strict deadlines, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities in a demanding work environment.
Qualifications
- Life, Health and Accident insurance experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of insurance markets, products, services, insurance ratings, and underwriting procedures preferred.
- Computer literacy with the ability to learn new software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
