Client Service Specialist, EB
Essential Responsibilities
Aid in managing client accounts and provide support to the internal service team.
Support the implementation and renewal process of employee benefit programs by gathering necessary information, submitting to carriers, and preparing proposals for clients.
Draft Request for Proposals (RFPs) for review by appropriate senior service team members, make requested edits to RFPs, distribute RFPs to insurance carriers, ensure timely responses from carriers, and summarize insurance carrier proposals for review by senior service team members.
Aid sales and service teams with the preparation and creation of materials for presentations.
With guidance from sales and service teams, communicate daily with insurance companies, vendors, and internal teams to ensure proper account administration (including handling contract concerns, underwriting issues, claim situations, etc.).
Follow up on outstanding issues or client requests in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Educational background: High school diploma; college degree preferred.
- Experience: Some administrative, customer service, or office experience, preferably in the insurance industry [at a brokerage or provider organization].
- Licenses: Active state-specific Life & Health Insurance agent’s license required or the ability to acquire the license within three months of hire.
- Technical Competencies: Demonstrated ability to understand and apply insurance principles to consult with clients and meet their strategic needs. Actively contributes to workflows, processes, and deliverables, using agency systems to provide a world-class client experience and ensure compliance. Able to understand clients, prioritize tasks, manage status, and deliver impactful solutions proactively.

Pay and Schedule
The salary range for Minnesota residents is $52,500– $70,400. Compensation is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, education, work experience, and industry certifications.
