Client Service Specialist
About the role
The Client Service Specialist will maintain data integrity by setting up sales deals in the CRM platform (EDGEonDemand), preparing bid sheets, contracting, and enrolling customers. This role ensures smooth day-to-day operations by handling correspondence, assisting with data integrity, and providing administrative support to the operations team. The specialist will manage electricity and natural gas accounts in all deregulated territories, facilitate interdepartmental communication, and uphold superior customer service.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, multitasking ability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. Collaboration with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency is key.

Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing operational policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to operations activities and databases.
- Manage schedules, appointments, and meetings for leadership (Director-Procurement Operations, Principals, and Director-Energy Markets).
- Handle inquiries and communications from internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the procurement process by liaising with vendors and ensuring data integrity.
- Streamline operational processes and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall efficiency.
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives aimed at improving operational effectiveness.
- Conduct research and gather data for operational analysis.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management meetings.
- Provide general administrative support to leadership as needed.
- Enhance Operations processes to drive sales success.
- Serve as a liaison to utilities for updates, creating ESIIDs, and resolving permit issues.
- Provide client and stakeholder support: handle inquiries, prepare proposals, nurture supplier relationships, and resolve issues.
- Address additional requests from the Director of Procurement Operations as needed.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in administration, operations management, accounting, or a related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in a retail energy provider role (ERCOT and PJM Markets).
- Experience with complex processes and personnel management.
- Experience with EDGEonDemand.com CRM (a plus).
