Responsibilities
- Provide a positive client experience from the waiting room onward.
- Navigate client and interpersonal communication with skill and ease.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting while remaining calm during emotional and stressful situations.
- Handle patients on a leash or in a carrier.
- Fill medications for clients.
- Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Assist with other duties as needed in a team-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a veterinary setting (preferred but not required).
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology or a willingness to learn.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a warm, friendly, and empathetic approach.
- Ability to handle challenging client situations with tact, patience, and understanding.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work collaboratively and assist with other duties as needed.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, especially in high-stress or emotional situations.
- Willingness to continue learning and stay updated on best practices in client service and veterinary care.
- Must be 18 years or older to apply.
Experience with EzyVet and Smartflow is a plus but not required.
Pay
Based on experience: $18.75 - $24.75 an hour.
Schedule
- Full-time position: 5 days a week, 8 hours a day (11:30am-8pm).
- 1 weekend shift: 8am-4:30pm.
- Holidays are required.
