Responsibilities

  • Provide a positive client experience from the waiting room onward.
  • Navigate client and interpersonal communication with skill and ease.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting while remaining calm during emotional and stressful situations.
  • Handle patients on a leash or in a carrier.
  • Fill medications for clients.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  • Assist with other duties as needed in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a veterinary setting (preferred but not required).
  • Familiarity with veterinary terminology or a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a warm, friendly, and empathetic approach.
  • Ability to handle challenging client situations with tact, patience, and understanding.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work collaboratively and assist with other duties as needed.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, especially in high-stress or emotional situations.
  • Willingness to continue learning and stay updated on best practices in client service and veterinary care.
  • Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Experience with EzyVet and Smartflow is a plus but not required.

Pay

Based on experience: $18.75 - $24.75 an hour.

Schedule

  • Full-time position: 5 days a week, 8 hours a day (11:30am-8pm).
  • 1 weekend shift: 8am-4:30pm.
  • Holidays are required.
