Client Service Representative
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen. In this position you will be supporting our Doctor and Technician teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. We’re looking for a personable yet highly professional “service extraordinaire” to join us in delivering our mission to our clients and their pets.
Responsibilities
- Greeting visitors and making them feel welcome and comfortable
- Effectively communicate with current and prospective clients
- Effectively communicate with doctors and fellow teammates
- Work closely with teammates to ensure a low stress and compassionate environment
- Work closely with clients to promote long lasting and trusting relationships
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Present and explain fees, including processing payments
- Recommend, select, and obtain products and services, including prescriptions
- Answer questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control)
- Accurately maintain medical records, reports
- Work closely with teammates to ensure hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and that the facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside
Requirements
- Must be able to work 30-40 hours per week
- Must be able to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts (weekends not required)
- Must be comfortable communicating via technology (email, text, smart phone apps, etc.)
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have at least 1 year reception or relevant customer service experience, veterinary Client Service Preferred
