About the role
The Client Risk Management Solutions Lead is responsible for coordinating and advancing the overall risk management experience for assigned agency clients by translating client priorities into a clear, year-round risk management plan; bringing the appropriate agency specialists and outside resources together around that plan; tracking commitments and outcomes; and communicating progress through meaningful stewardship reporting.
Responsibilities
- Participates in onboarding and discovery with insurance advisors, client service team members, and assigned clients to understand client goals, risk priorities, operating concerns, claims experience, internal resources, communication preferences, and measures of success; identifies service gaps, unnecessary friction, duplicate touchpoints, and unclear roles that may affect the client experience.
- Translates client discovery findings into written annual risk management plans that establish objectives, recommended solutions, responsible resources, timing, and expected outcomes; obtains alignment across the client and internal team and connects plans to renewal strategy, significant claims, operational changes, and other meaningful business events.
- Serves as the central coordination point across the agency's risk management resources while preserving the roles of insurance advisors, client service team members, and technical specialists; brings the appropriate internal and external resources together and ensures each participant understands client priorities, engagement objectives, deliverables, dependencies, and timing.
- Maintains an accurate view of commitments, owners, deadlines, dependencies, and status for assigned clients; coordinates meetings and deliverables, follows up on open items, closes communication loops, documents changes in direction, identifies constraints early, and ensures agreed risk management solutions progress from recommendation through execution and follow-through.
- Consolidates specialist activities and insights into clear quarterly, semiannual, or annual stewardship reporting that communicates progress, results, trends, gaps, and recommendations; regularly revalidates risk management plans in response to significant claims, leadership changes, operational disruptions, budget pressures, or other changes in client priorities.
- Integrates risk management activity into renewal planning and helps communicate a credible risk-improvement story to insurance carriers and underwriters; participates onsite when discovery, relationship development, risk assessment, training, or problem-solving will materially improve client outcomes and provide technical services within demonstrated expertise and appropriate functional leadership.
- Serves as the primary loss control coordination point for client needs, questions, internal resources, vendors, and outsourced providers; oversees assignments, utilization, service expectations, documentation, compliance, deliverables, and follow-through, while monitoring vendor performance and escalating quality, capacity, compliance, or service concerns as appropriate.
- Develops and refines practical tools and processes for discovery, planning, scheduling, tracking, client communication, and stewardship reporting; captures client and internal feedback, identifies recurring service friction and capability gaps, and recommends improvements that better connect the agency's internal and external resources while creating a consistent, scalable, and client-focused risk management experience.
