About the Role

The Client Reporting Associate, located in Boston, will be an integral member of the North America Client Operations team and will report directly to a Boston-based Principal in the Client Reporting department. This role supports the preparation, validation, and delivery of high-quality investment performance reports and materials to clients, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and client-focused, with strong communication and technical skills.

The Client Reporting Team supports the firm’s client management efforts through account reconciliations and the production of monthly and quarterly performance reports. The candidate will handle performance reporting across a range of client accounts, including investment data input, validation, troubleshooting, and process management. Team members are expected to have a strong understanding of alternative investments and the ability to efficiently produce consolidated reports while meeting deadlines. The role also involves daily interaction with internal client teams as the primary point of contact for reporting inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Track and reconcile daily cash movements within client portfolios through coordination with internal teams and external service providers.
  • Drive completion of cash and position reconciliations across assigned client accounts and/or custodians.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between internal and external records (e.g., custodian, administrator).
  • Assist with collection and input of fund manager performance data into proprietary systems.
  • Assume responsibility for production and review of monthly “flash” reports and quarterly statements across assigned client accounts.
  • Reconcile client transactional activity and fund manager performance data versus benchmarks, documenting deviations for review by the Client Service Team.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to generated and reviewed reports.
  • Ensure data completeness and accuracy for client consolidated/legacy reporting, collaborating with the Client Service Team as needed.
  • Assist with distribution of client reporting, including custom formatting and upload to the online client portal.
  • Track and gather client tax documents such as K-1s and 1099s.
  • Manage communication with internal client teams, providing high-level service on reporting inquiries, investigating issues, and driving solutions.
  • Review current Client Reporting Team processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and system enhancements.

Key responsibilities may evolve based on business needs, and overtime may be required.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of prior work experience (investment operations experience preferred but not required).
  • Undergraduate degree in any field; strong GPA and SAT scores.
  • High degree of attention to detail and experience inputting and reviewing large datasets.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced investment environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Team player willing to contribute flexibly to the firm’s success.
  • Comfortable receiving and providing feedback from/to direct manager and Partners.
  • Strong Excel and data management skills; familiarity with databases and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, proprietary systems) is a plus.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role in Massachusetts is $65,000 - $75,000. The base salary offered will be determined based on experience, skills, training, certifications, and education. This position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives.
