Client Relationship Executive (Private Equity)
About the Role
CohnReznick is expanding its sales team with the addition of a Private Equity Client Relationship Executive (CRE) role. We are seeking a Director-level sales executive to act as a growth architect for the firm’s most strategic opportunities within our Private Equity practice. This role is responsible for enterprise-level target acquisition, multi-year revenue strategy, and the orchestration of complex, multi-service pursuits.
The CRE will partner closely with Sales Leadership, Practice Leaders, Office Managing Partners, Inside Sales, Marketing, and delivery teams to drive sustained growth, deepen executive relationships, and scale best-in-class sales execution across the firm. This position is hybrid, requiring intentional in-person collaboration on average 3 days a week.
Your Team
You will be part of our sales organization within a structured, team-based sales model that emphasizes collaboration, consistent processes, and professional development. Aligned to the Private Equity practice, you will support local client and prospect activity for a designated geography while collaborating with the local Office Managing Partner, other Client Relationship Executives, Sales Leadership, and local industry group leaders.
As a Director, you will lead and influence within the sales organization across industries, service lines, and regions. This may include mentoring other sales professionals and supporting market-facing leaders to represent CohnReznick externally.

Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of enterprise-level targets and the firm’s most complex, high-value pursuits
- Own and execute multi-year business plans tied to defined revenue goals
- Architect and optimize target list ecosystems to support firmwide growth
- Build, scale, and manage sophisticated Centers of Influence (COIs) (e.g., referral sources) across regions and industries
- Drive cross-firm collaboration to deliver integrated, multi-service solutions
- Support complex negotiations and deal structuring with senior executives
- Serve as trusted advisor to C-Suite and board-level target and client contacts
- Mentor and coach Senior Manager and Manager-level CREs; support succession and growth planning discussions
- Ensure strong pipeline coverage, forecasting accuracy, and CRM discipline at scale
- Represent the firm externally at industry events, conferences, and executive forums
The Director role requires a sustained track record of revenue over-achievement and the ability to influence outcomes at the executive and board level.
Revenue Accountability
- Assigned the highest revenue target levels within the CRE role structure
- Expected pipeline coverage typically 3× revenue target
- Must demonstrate consistent quota achievement or over-achievement for 3+ years
Requirements
- 13+ years of experience in sales, client leadership, or professional services roles
- Experience serving private equity clients, at the fund and portfolio company level
- Proven success leading enterprise-level pursuits and expanding complex client relationships
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-service expansion and long-term value creation
- Sustained history of achieving or exceeding revenue targets
- Executive presence with the ability to influence C-Suite and board-level executives
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, multi-service teams
- Advanced commercial, financial, and negotiation acumen
- Experience mentoring senior sales professionals and developing future leaders
- Expert-level proficiency with CRM systems and forecasting disciplines (Dynamics or Salesforce preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced or industry-specific education preferred

- Power BI dashboards (basic to intermediate usage)

Pay
In New York, the salary range for a Director is $200,000 to $300,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and applicable employment laws. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which also includes a discretionary performance bonus and other benefits.
