About the role

This role has multiple levels, open to candidates with 3 to 5 years of minimum experience in customer service and sales. The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience. Client Relationship Consultants build relationships with customers by meeting face-to-face and engaging them when and where they need to provide the best possible counsel.

Responsibilities include assessing and attending to customers’ banking needs, obtaining and processing customer and account information, educating clients on available deposit and loan products and services, and recommending financial solutions based on each customer’s unique goals and needs. They are also responsible for originating and closing consumer loans, opening accounts, and opening and/or closing the branch.

This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z. You will be subject to the required registration process, which includes a criminal background and credit check. Failure to meet or maintain any of the NMLS registration requirements, including maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record, may result in a rescission of your offer or termination of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships based on trust.
  • Assess and attend to customers’ banking needs.

Requirements

Client Relationship Consultant 2

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three to four years of customer service experience.
  • Three to four years of sales experience.

Client Relationship Consultant 3

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum four to five years of job-related retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training.

Client Relationship Consultant 2

  • Thorough knowledge of retail product philosophy, policy, procedures, documentation, and systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of all retail products and services.
  • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in participating in sales campaigns/promotions.
  • Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Client Relationship Consultant 3

  • Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow-up.
  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of all retail products and services.
  • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in participating in sales campaigns/promotions.
  • Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies.
  • Ability to explore and identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital-first mindset.
  • Demonstrated advanced level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer’s needs both reactively and proactively.
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred.

Pay

  • Client Relationship Consultant 2: $22–$24 per hour.
  • Client Relationship Consultant 3: $25–$27 per hour.
  • Pay range for the role: $21.68–$26.50 per hour, depending on location and level.
