About the role

Amegy Bank’s Energy Lending team in Houston, TX seeks a Client Relationship Associate to support Relationship Managers in daily loan portfolio management and provide administrative and clerical assistance across loans, deposits, and account servicing.

Responsibilities

  • Support Relationship Managers in daily management of loan portfolios.
  • Provide administrative and clerical assistance in loans, deposits, and account servicing.
  • Process loan renewals and changes in terms for assigned portfolios.
  • Call clients to request financial statements, credit reports, and income verification; verify documents meet bank requirements.
  • Process and compile monthly production reports.
  • Open and close accounts.
  • Manage exceptions including loan collateral, financial reporting, and depository-related exceptions.
  • Obtain missing information such as signature cards, financial statements, and insurance.
  • Manage filing, correspondence, scheduling, and coordination of loan portfolio functions to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with loan processing, closing, and monitoring to allow loan personnel time for business development.
  • Assist customers with questions and maintain automated reports and desk files.
  • May manage a small deposit portfolio.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4+ years of experience in banking, loans, loan portfolios, deposits, account servicing, or directly related fields.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Working knowledge of loan/bank operations, documentation processes, loan principles, systems, portfolios (including renewals and changes), deposits, new accounts, banking principles, processes, policies, compliance, and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Ability to process, audit, and review client information.
  • Solid problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to create and pull reports.
  • Ability to multitask, support multiple priorities, and collaborate with relationship managers and clients.
  • Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Spanish (written/oral) proficiency preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and general workflow organization.
